Rhino Shield Seeks Veterans for Dealership Opportunities
DESTIN, FLA. (June 13, 2022) - Veteran-owned Rhino Shield® is looking to fill its dealer ranks with military veterans. Rhino Shield’s owner, combat-wounded veteran Jason Crawford, said veterans are uniquely qualified to own and operate a Rhino Shield dealership.
“Those who have served our country are perfect candidates to serve as a dealer for Rhino Shield for many reasons, but first because they have demonstrated the ability to execute,” said Crawford. “At the end of the day it takes hard work and focus to operate a Rhino Shield dealership and veterans have been put in situations where they have to deliver — they have a proven skill set. They have developed ‘a muscle’ around execution and know what it takes to show up, represent a brand and get the job done.
“An equally important characteristic is integrity – and what I call a high say/do ratio — this is important for the homeowner and our reputation as a national brand,” said Crawford. “We look for people who are going to follow through and be credible with customers with a high level of service and that’s built into a veteran’s DNA.”
Rhino Shield dealer Jim Williams’ father, grandfather and great grandfather served our country. He says the values they instilled in him has made him successful in business.
“I come from a long line of veterans who served our country with honor,” said Williams. “They instilled in me strong belief in self, serving others and discipline. From my father I learned leadership — he led a tank platoon that patrolled the Berlin wall. He knew what it meant to be responsible for outcomes and his men’s lives. He knew that work must be followed by reward and R and R. And he knew that meant being a servant leader.”
On what it takes to be successful as a Rhino Shield dealer, Williams said “charisma and discipline.”
“You have to be great in sales — a people person,” said Williams, “but you also must have discipline in managing the business. A good dealer has to be able to sell and the discipline to monitor and manage operations.”
